The GLOMICAVE project aims to combine and analyse different types of omic data (genomics, metabolomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics), to obtain relevant information and discover new links between animal and vegetable genotype and phenotype.
To do so, the project has applied Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence techniques to develop a multi-omics data analysis open platform consisting of multiple tools to maximise the use of omics data at a massive level and to support large-scale omic experiments.
The main innovation behind GLOMICAVE relies on demonstrating the integration of different omics databases with specific information available in other supports, to allow a better understanding of the many sources of genotype-phenotype associations and, as a result, a more accurate phenotypic prediction.
