GLOMICAVE project has kicked off on November 2020, with the objective to develop a new digital genotype to phenotype platform, relying on Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence and using large-scale publicly, available and experimental omic datasets.
The project addresses the need to build systems which allow the use of primary data analytical processes and suport large-scale omic experiments. The new open platform developed by the project aims to assist experts and non-experts in identifying and understanding new links between genotype and phenotype.
GLOMICAVE platform will be validated in 3 different industrial sectors such as livestock, agro-biotechnology and environment, addressing specific challenges in 6 business cases (animal reproductive technology, meat quality, fruit growth and quality, plant growth, phosphorus removal/recovery and bioenergy production in the urban water cycle).
The GLOMICAVE consortium, coordinated by Eurecat, is formed by 15 partners from 6 different European countries providing the necessary range of expertise, competence and operational capacity to achieve the innovative project objectives.
