The GLOMICAVE project invites you to take part in the third national workshop “Machine Learning” organised by project’s partners from INRAE and taking place from 8 – 9 of April in Arcachon (France).
Aimed at beginners and more experienced modellers, this workshop is designed to provide participants with a theoretical and practical grounding in machine learning, exploring fundamental theoretical principles while providing hands-on experience.
The workshop will begin on the first half-day with an introduction to Artificial Intelligence in the life sciences, followed by a quiz to assess participants’ knowledge prior to the machine learning workshop, and will conclude with a demystification of machine learning and its relevance in many fields. The second half-day will be devoted to acquiring the theoretical foundations of machine learning, with a presentation of different algorithms and prediction flows. This will be followed by the construction of predictive models using R, the aim being to gain practical experience of using the R programming language to build predictive models.
