The GLOMICAVE project was presented at the Europe Biobank Week Congress, the most important event for the global biobanking community, taking place from 14th – 17th of May in Vienna, Austria.
Janos Meszaros, project partner and postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven, attended the event delivering the presentation “Navigating New Waters: Implications and Challenges for Biobanks in the European Health Data Space”, which introduced how biobanks are regulated in the European Union and their main role within GLOMICAVE.
The work was also contributed by Teodora Lalova-Spinks, Sofie Bakeart from Ghent University and Isabelle Huys from KU Leuven.
The Europe Biobank Week, organised by ESBB and BBMRI-ERIC, highlighted the state-of-the-art biobanking innovations and research and brought together industry representatives to discuss the newest findings and hot topics with experts from healthcare, industry, and academia.
