The objective of this document is to analyse both the environmental and economic implications of adopting the solutions proposed by GLOMICAVE, by means of the application of the Life Cycle Assessment (L A) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) approach, which assess respectively the CO2 equivalent emissions and the operative result (profit/cost) in the project application. The GLOMICAVE project elaborates a cloud-based platform to manage, storage and process the omics data of different sectors: animal, agrobiotechnology and environmental. In the first place, environmental and economic implications of the platform operation are evaluated, through the life cycle assessment to calculate the environmental impact, cost, and revenues. With the objective to study both economic and environmental viability of GLOMICAVE, the impact generated during the platform operation phase has been compared against the savings in business cases with de GLOMICAVE application. To evaluate this, 3 business cases (one per sector) are studied where a comparative analysis has been carried out comparing before and after the application of GLOMICAVE.
