GLOMICAVE aims to exploit the information hidden in existing scientific literature and large-scale omics datasets with artificial intelligence (AI) technology to better understand genotype-phenotype relationships. This deliverable is focused on the food security crop cassava and specifically on the identification of novel biomarkers which can help in the production of a greater yield for the farmers. Typically, roots from cassava transition through various stages as the plant matures. The processes which initiate transition from a normal fibrous root to a storage root are not well understood. The expectation that we can breed new cultivars which form storage root earlier and thereby produce larger tubers.
