Project partner Xavier Domingo-Almenara, a researcher from the Omic Sciences Unit at Eurecat, presented the GLOMICAVE project as an invited Keynote Speaker in the 18th edition of the NuGO Week 2022, celebrated on August 29th-September 1st at the University Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain.
During his talk, titled “Driving biological discovery with computational metabolomics and systems biology”, Xavier Domingo-Almenara introduced the Omics Sciences Unit’s research areas on metabolomics, machine learning and systems biology, and how these technologies are used and integrated into the GLOMICAVE project, explaining GLOMICAVE’s main objectives and the current progress towards a better understanding of biological systems.
The GLOMICAVE project is developing a new digital genotype to phenotype platform, relying on Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence and using large-scale publicly available and experimental omic datasets.
The NuGOweek is the annual conference organised by the NuGO Association and this year gathered many experts to discuss food bioactives for disease prevention.
